Paula Griffith is internationally acclaimed as a captivating performer, vocal coach, and artist coach, renowned across North America for enchanting audiences and guiding artists to their highest potential with her soulful voice and mastery of stagecraft.With a career spanning over two decades, Paula has navigated seamlessly across R&B, Pop, Gospel, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Country, and Rock—cementing her reputation as a transformative voice in vocal artistry and education.
A graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and certified as a Vocal Styles Specialist by the Berklee College of Music, Paula blends classical training with cutting-edge vocal methodology. Her pioneering work at Seneca College led to the creation of Canada’s first accredited Pop, R&B, and Contemporary vocal program, setting a national standard in vocal education. Now as a Professor of Performance Studies, she imparts her extensive expertise through a holistic approach to performance.
Paula’s influence extends well beyond the classroom. She served as Head Vocal Coach on YTV’s hit reality series The Next Star, shaping some of Canada’s brightest young talent. Her students have gone on to secure major recording, publishing, and management deals with teams behind artists such as Sia, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and Ariana Grande, collaborating with producers including L.A. Reid and Ludacris, and earning placements with Warner Music, Universal, and Sony Music Entertainment. She has also consulted for artist development programs in New York and Los Angeles, collaborating with Arrival Music in partnership with Sony Music Canada. Many of Paula’s students have excelled in musical theatre, performing in Broadway and Mirvish productions such as Frozen, Matilda, Annie, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and The Lion King.

Jayd Deroche, who landed leading roles in Mirvish’s Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, has appeared in award-winning series on Netflix, Nickelodeon, and the OWN Network, as well as Mattel’s new Barney reboot series. Most recently, he voiced Charlie Brown in Apple TV’s #1 movie Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical — Peanuts’ first musical in over 37 years. Currently, Paula is the Head Vocal Coach at Abstract Studios, leading artist development programs alongside Grammy-nominated producers Mega Man (Lil Wayne) and Ante O’Connor (Drake, Gucci TV). She also serves as lead vocal coach for Ron Lopatta, former Warner Music A&R VP, guiding the next generation of talent.
As CEO and founder of Pure Voice Inc., Paula has developed an extensive line of vocal training programs, including Pure Voice R&B, Pure Voice Pop, and Pure Voice Kids.
